Suicide Army girl ‘in rape torment’ Hanged … Anne-Marie Ellement INS

By John Coles – The Sun

A SOLDIER who hanged herself in her barracks had never recovered from being raped by two Army colleagues, her family said last night.Corporal Anne-Marie Ellement, 30, claimed she was the victim of a drunken sex attack in Germany — but the two men were never charged. The Royal Military policewoman was found dead last October at Bulford Barracks near Salisbury, Wilts. An inquest in the city heard last week she was struggling to cope with working an 80-hour week.

But sister Sharon Hardy said:

“Anne-Marie never recovered from being raped. What caused her the most upset was the fact two men had taken advantage of her whilst she was intoxicated and no one believed her.”I believe the Royal Military Police have failed in their duty of care to my sister. They should be held to account.”

Anne-Marie was heard muttering “f***ing men” to herself before she died.
